Our Junior and Senior English students have the opportunity to go with our de-partment on Thursday, October 2, to Bryan College to see the Hilltop Players production of Our Town. Thornton Wilder’s clas-sic play deals with life in an American small town with all of its ups and downs, joys and tragedies. I am strongly encouraging all of my students to go with us. The cost is five dollars which covers both the ticket and the cost of transportation. We will leave during first period and return be-fore lunch.
We have made our “Getting Started” booklets and will be using those for the next few activities. We also found our quadrant partners for discussion and response.

The beginning of this year is one of big changes for you and for me. You are starting new classes and meeting new teachers. I am meeting new students AND moving to a different classroom. Have patience with me. I may still be looking for things at Christmas.
Each school year is a brand new start. We leave the old stuff (not the old learning) behind and start with a clean slate.
