Class Rules

1. Speak standard English at all times.
2. Listen carefully and speak clearly when you address the class.
3. Be in your seat ready to go to work when the tardy tone sounds each day. Use your time effectively.
4. Always have your notebook, textbooks, library book, and a good supply of paper and pens in class with you.
5. Treat classmates, visitors, and teacher courteously.
6. Do not do anything that would interfere with another student’s opportunity to learn.
7. Do not chew gum, eat food or candy, or have drinks in class.
8. You have adequate time to take care of personal needs in between classes. Do not ask to be excused from class except in case of real emergency. This is especially true during reading or composition time.
9. If you are absent to due to prearranged conditions such as a field trip, doctor/dentist appointment, etc., you are responsible for being prepared for class when you return. This includes having assignments prepared and being ready for discussion and/or quizzes.
10. Clean up the floor around your desk before you leave each day.
11. Remain in your seat at the end of the period until you are dismissed by the teacher.
12. Always listen to announcements over the public address system as though the speaker were speaking directly to you.
13. All rules listed in the Student Handbook apply in this class.
